The Prime Minister might be glad-handing world leaders, but we know where the UK comes in the real world order.
That place is some way behind the US and Japan, where
Mazda has already been busy selling its
new CX-7 SUV.
We'll have to wait until September to see the
CX-7 in showrooms.
When it does arrive, though, Mazda's SUV will have suspension tuned to cope with Europe's more demanding road surfaces.
This set-up work has included many laps of the Nürburgring, so the
CX-7 should be able to go round corners well.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine with 256bhp, borrowed from the Mazda 6 MPS, and coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox.
Mazda will announce prices and specs closer to the CX-7's September on-sale date.
